An Amish Christmas

Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller, and Babara Cameron pen this collection of three novellas. The cover work is gorgeous and makes for a beautiful little gift. I found that the novellas increased in enjoyment as the book progressed. Though it is three separate works, they are based in the same community and have characters that play varying parts in each story. There is a glossary in the front of the book, that came in very handy and at the end of the book there is not only a book discussion guide, but some of the recipes of some of the foods featured in the novellas. There were some idioms and turns of phrase that drew me out of the Amish world and a consistent theme in the first two stories that the society outside the Amish culture was the root of all their internal conflict. The third novella did not have these inconsistencies and was a wonderful story, worth the book itself. Overall, it was a very touching read for this Christmas season and will be enjoyed by those that enjoy this ge
